The Museum is located inside the building of the former "Alcoholera Extremeña," a mid-20th century alcohol factory in Almendralejo. The original structure of the building has been preserved, including the old wine and alcohol tanks, which have become part of the museum's exhibition space.

Inside, you will find various permanent exhibitions with rooms that cover the history, the wine production processes and interactive spaces for visitors: an archaeology room, a room dedicated to the countryside, a winery room, a wine sciences room and an alcohol factory room.

The museum features a vineyard garden with different grape varieties cultivated in Extremadura and from the outside, visitors can admire the avant-garde architecture of the building. They also have the opportunity to taste a glass of wine.

One of the main objectives of the museum is to promote and disseminate the wine culture of Extremadura, as well as to highlight the ethnographic and industrial heritage of the viticultural world in Tierra de Barros.

The Museum is an integral project that combines history and tradition with the technology of a future that promotes wine as a high-quality product. Visitors immerse themselves in a world of sensations, aromas, colors and flavors.
