Victoria Carolina Coronado y Romero de Tejada (Almendralejo, December 12, 1820-Lisbon, January 15, 1911) was a Spanish writer, self-taught and with great sensitivity, considered the Extremaduran equivalent of other authors of Romanticism.

Victoria Carolina Coronado Y Romero de Tejada ( Almendralejo, december 12 1820-Lisbon ,January 15,1911) was a Spanish writer, self -taugh and with great sensivity, considered the Exrremaduran equivalent of other contemporary autiors of Romanticism such as Rosalía de Castro and aliterary  woman of such notoriety that she would be compared with Bécquer.as well as a virtuoso on the piano and the harp.In 1843 he published a volume of Poetry, republished in 1852,which Hartzenbusch prefaced..He also wrote novelsand plays with a predominance of historical themes,social commitment and the social and cultural defense of women.The Artistic School of Madrid crowned her with a laurel and gold wreath. Some of her most outstanding works are: "Paquita", "La luz del Tajo" and "Adoración", leaving "Harnina" unfinished. She married Mr. Perry a diplomat from the US embassy, later moving to Lisbon in 1888, where she died in 1911.
