OBRERO EXTREMEÑO SOCIETY

In 1895, a group of craftsmen from Almendralejo founded the ‘El Obrero Extremeño Society’, which was created for recreational and cultural purposes, with the guarantee of an economic fund to help each other in case of any social need. It was built in 1930.

Its neoclassical façade stands out, with three floors opened among them some with semicircular arches and lintels. All of them are decorated with moldings on the upper part. All the rooms are distributed around a central patio.

The building was declared an Asset of Cultural Interest the 5th September 1995 in the category of ‘Monument’ by the Ministry of Culture and Heritage of the Regional Government of Extremadura.
